RELATIONS WITH THE NATIVES
There was actually generally good relations between the natives and colonists. At first there was a little tension, because of false rumors that the natives were "savages". Once they formally met, they had good relations, and the colonists probably had the best relationship with the Wamponog tribe, they even had the first thanksgiving with them. The Colonists needed the natives to survive, because it was an unfamiliar environment, and the natives helped them survive
PLYMOUTH COLONY
What is the Plymouth colony?
In September 1620, during the reign of King James I, around 100 English men and women–many of them members of the English Separatist Church–set sail for the New World aboard the Mayflower, a three-masted merchant ship. The ship landed on the shores of Cape Cod, in present-day Massachusetts, about two months later, and in  Early winter they landed at Plymouth Rock, where they would make first permanent settlement of Europeans in New England. Though more than half the original settlers died during that harsh first winter, the survivors were able to secure peace with neighboring Native American tribes and build a well run society in 5 years. They were a very interesting group, as some were from

There were not very many characters important enough to mention, but read the book! You might find some things I missed or some characters I didn't think were important that really were!
Squanto
He was very kind to the settlers, and just very nice in general. He had quite the interesting backstory, as he was sold to the Europeans, and fought a bear in a circus act, until he got out of the circus and eventually made it back to the Americas.
Elder Bradford
He was very kind to jasper, and was caring towards all. He was a very religious man, and was very big on everyone keeping the commandments so God would be happy.
Edward Dotey & Edward Liester
Since both basically had the same personality, IÂ decided to group them together. They were bullies and often picked on Jasper. Both were very thickskulled.
Tom
He was not in the book a whole lot, but he loved his brother Jasper, and was a very hard worker. He was also very determined.
Jasper
He was a smart young boy, courageous, but shy at the same time. He often tried to please everyone, which didn't work out so well sometimes. He would get really nervous of getting in trouble,

JASPER JONATHAN PIERCE SUMMARY
Jasper Jonathan Pierce is a very good book about a young boy named Jasper, who was a servant with his brother. There was an opportunity for Jasper to go on the Mayflower to the Americas, so of course he took it, but his brother, Tom, could not. They travelled on the mayflower for 66 days, where many people got sick and died. Once they made it to the Americas, things start to get a little wild. They must battle starvation, disease, cold winters, and must make positive relations with the natives. All the while they must find some way to keep morale high. This book is a very good book and I would highly recommend it.
